Sleeping Raven Woodland Retreat is located in picturesque Port Angeles on Washington's Olympic Peninsula.  While exploring Port Angeles arrange a whale watching trip, take a fly fishing excursion, tour local wineries, enjoy the new 130 mile Olympic Discovery Road Bike Trail, arrange a kayak lesson in Freshwater Bay.

Olympic National Park's glacier covered peaks tower above the town of  Port Angeles. The main entrance to Olympic National Park is located just down the road from Sleeping Raven Woodland Retreat. Explore the alpine environment of Hurricane Ridge, take a day trip and soak in the natural Sol Duc Hot Springs. Take a day trip to visit Pacific Coast beaches such as Shi Shi or Ruby Beach all within one of America's premier National Parks and Makah Native Land. Olympic National Park and the Makah tribe share some of the most beautiful coastal areas in the world. Take the short hike to Cape Flattery, longer hike to in Second Beach or Rialto Beach. Plan for low tides and bring your camera. Tribal areas required the Tribe Pass to access and park, no problem buy one at the Makah Cultural museum, a must see on your bucket list anyway.

The Black Ball ferry leaves from downtown Port Angeles across San Juan de Fuca strait to British Columbia where lovely Victoria Harbor awaits. Either by car or on foot, explore Victoria for a day. Enjoy Victoria's shopping venues, have formal tea service at the Empress Hotel or take the afternoon to soak up the Royal BC Museum.
